CEMAT RUSSIA NEWS part

CEMAT RUSSIA NEWS part of this. The trade fair has yielded a number of key leads and valuable information on concrete projects over the years, and we are confident that this year will be no different. At the end of the day, CeMAT Russia is the most important trade fair platform for the Russian intralogistics industry.” Overview of technology innovations This view is shared by Thomas Fischer, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at the Hamburg, Germany-based Company Still, one of the leading suppliers of forklift trucks, platform trucks and tractors plus the latest intralogistics systems: “CeMAT Russia is the only Russian trade fair where all the major industrial truck manufacturers and intralogistics providers have an exhibition presence. The visitors are of a very high quality and they come from all over Russia. In many cases, they are specialists from large companies of importance to Still from across a very diverse range of industries. Our showcase at CeMAT Russia helps strengthen our presence and brand awareness in the Russian market. It is an excellent way for us to profile our products and services to existing and new customers and partners,” he added. Based on experience, Fisher anticipates that this year’s show will yield many new customer leads. The German company Jungheinrich, one of the world’s leading companies in the industrial truck, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors, likewise sees the CeMAT show in Moscow as the most important intralogistics trade fair in Russia. As in previous years, Jungheinrich will use the upcoming show to further position itself as a leading brand in the Russian intralogistics sector and to showcase its latest products and innovations. Luuk Snijders, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jungheinrich’s Russian subsidiary, OOO Jungheinrich Lift Truck, explains: “Apart from offering us a wealth of networking opportunities and new leads, CeMAT Russia is an excellent opportunity for us to meet face-to-face with existing and potential customers to discuss specific logistics projects and do business. And it is an opportunity that the fair’s highquality visitors have always welcomed because they know that Jungheinrich carefully tailors its products and services to their needs and gives them exactly what they need to meet their logistical challenges. That’s why our showcase at this year’s CeMAT Russia will once again have a strong focus on integrated logistics solutions.” Maintaining and strengthening customer relationships SSI Schaefer, one of the world’s leading supplier of warehousing and logistic systems, too, values CeMAT Russia as one of the most important trade fairs for its activities in Russia. “The show gives us a good overview of the latest technological developments and systems in logistics services,” explains Georgiy Bekuzarov, CEO of SSI Schaefer Russia. “CeMAT helps us to accurately gauge the current situation in the Russian logistics market, to strengthen our local corporate image, and to gain an even better understanding of what our customers want,” he said. Another Western European company that has been active in the Russian market for many years is the Knapp Group, headquartered in Hart, Austria. Knapp has successfully realized several warehouse logistics projects in Russia in a wide range of industries, including the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and office supplies industries. “We anticipate that CeMAT Russia will put us in contact with a large number of visitors, including both existing customers and new prospects. The show is also a good opportunity to meet up with potential local market partners,” explains Frank Rossbach, Managing Director OOO Knapp Russia, Moscow. Having set up a local branch in Moscow in 2013, Knapp is committed to building up its presence in the Russian market and further enhancing its position there as a leading partner for intralogistics solutions. “For us, CeMAT Russia is the number one driver of growth in the Russian intralogistics market. Given the show’s high visitor turnout, we’re expecting to generate lots of leads which will hopefully translate into promising new projects for us,” Rossbach said. He also anticipates that there will be more visitors this year than last year. And while the visitors Knapp encountered last year tended to be somewhat cautious, the company anticipates that this year more visitors will approach them with concrete project proposals. CeMAT Russia 2014 featured more than 200 exhibitors, who showcased an extremely diverse range of products and integrated solutions. That year, the visitor turnout grew 12 percent to 5,315. The show generated particularly strong interest among industrial, wholesale and retail-sector exhibitors on the lookout for integrated solutions for their internal logistics processes. Product Innovations Knapp presents all-in-shuttle concept The all-in-shuttle concept, which stands at the centre of the Knapp shuttle technologies, offers a solution for every area of application. Applying the all-in-shuttle concept means that various processes such as goodsto-man picking, buffering orders, and replenishing flow racks can be handled by one and the same system. The OSR Shuttle design is modular, adaptable in size and function and offers sufficient flexibility to react to the increasing demands for storage capacity or transit time. The Pick-it-Easy work station series emphasizes ergonomics at the work station for dynamic, ergonomic and error-free picking. Intelligent Ki Design achieves the best possible performance with the lowest possible physical effort. The goods-to-man principle minimizes walking times and reduces the strain on employees while enhancing efficiency and throughput. The intuitively operated easy-use-interface can be easily and comfortably operated through a touch screen – this enables new staff to quickly adjust to the new interface and be immediately productive. Both heavy and fragile articles can be handled thanks to the special design of the work stations. The error-free strategy of the work stations is realized through light curtains, camera systems or pick-to-light displays that increase the quality of picking. New corporate design for TVH Since 1 March 2015, TVH has two business units in Belgium: Parts & Accessories (TVH Parts NV) and Equipment (TVH Equipment NV). Together with this structural modification, there has been an adjustment in the communication. The general TVH logo was given a fresher look, in which the red color has become even stronger. In addition to the general logo, customers can now also encounter separate logos for the two new business units on the company documents. On CeMAT Russia TVH will present not only new corporate colors, but also new products and services at “Crocus Expo”, pavilion 3, hall 13, booth A401. The company is now an authorized distributor for Delta-Q (a manufacturer of on-board, high frequency battery chargers) for Europe. Since March 2015, TVH can offer battery chargers for forklifts, work platforms and other industrial vehicles. These battery chargers provide an interesting extension of the existing range, which now includes the new IC 650 model. Soon the company will also offer the new Quiq 1500 series. www.tvh.com www.knapp.com Still´s new high-lift-trucks redefine performance limits Still GmbH (Hall 3.13, Booth A301) presents its new high-lift trucks with and without an operator’s stand-on platform as highlight at the CeMAT in Russia. The EXV and EXV-SF 14-20 reach maximum lift heights of up to 5,466 mm. With a maximum unloaded speed of 10 km/h and 8 km/h when loaded, the EXV-SF 14-20 models are optimally usable for medium to long distances. The fold-out, air-damped stand-on platform and side guard hoops individually adjustable to the respective body height ensure safety and comfort at the same time. To guarantee safe cornering, the new high-lift trucks are equipped as standard with the “Curve Speed Control”-Function, which produces automatic, gentle speed reduction on curves. Still´s Optispeed tiller of the EXV 14-20 adjusts the speed automatically depending on the tiller angle. This enables safe working even in particularly confined surroundings. If the truck must also remain drivable with the tiller in a vertical position, this is possible with the creep speed function available as an option. www.still.de f+h Intralogistics 4/2015 17 PSI-Englisch.indd 1 20.07.2015 10:22:32
