Jungheinrich launches

Jungheinrich launches Electric pedestrian forklifts for small-scale tasks Whether it involves a contracting or retailing business, print shop, workshop or garden center: Even small or medium-sized enterprises routinely need to move heavy individual items. This can be tedious if the user has only a conventional hand pallet truck without any electric support. And lifting the transported goods in order to stack or load a rack or vehicle is impossible with a manual forklift. For occasional small-scale operations, Jungheinrich has developed a new series of battery-powered pedestrian trucks and stackers, which it is presenting at CeMAT Eurasia / WIN Eurasia 2017 in Istanbul (Hall 12, Booth C180). Designed according to European standards, these vehicles offer a reasonably priced solution for the entry segment – all in established Jungheinrich quality. All of these trucks are fitted with a maintenance-free three-phase AC motor and a maintenance-free gel battery with integrated charging device as well as an ergonomic Jungheinrich tiller, offering users the ideal prerequisites for fast and efficient throughput. Thus new vehicle series is available short-term – including online via the Jungheinrich Profi-Shop. 01 The maintenance-free gel battery with integrated charging device can be charged using a standard mains socket FORKLIFT TRUCKS WORLD OF INDUSTRIES – INTRALOGISTICS & DISTRIBUTION 2/2017

02 Thanks to its compact design, the EJC M10 E with mono-mast is ideal for deployment in confined spaces as well as for stacking jobs at heights of up to 3.3 meters Compact electric pedestrian trucks for short distances The EJE M13 and EJE M15 electric pedestrian trucks have been specially developed for in-house goods transport. The 0.6 kW drive motor supports the transport of pallets and belts over short distances with a weight of up to 1,500 kg. Thanks to the optimal interaction of the drive unit with the proprietary Jungheinrich control system, the operator can instantly change the travel direction. Both pedestrian trucks reveal their true advantages in confined spaces: The compact design, short front end of just 435 mm and low overall height guarantee a high degree of maneuverability, giving operators of any size an ideal view of the forks. Two sprung and cushioned support wheels moreover provide for safe and stable travel. In conjunction with the integrated charging device for charging at a normal mains socket, the gel battery (Image 01) supports flexible use without the user needing to refill the battery with water. An intelligent automatic shutoff system turns the truck off after 30 minutes of non-use, conserving not just energy, but also the battery and other components as well. Electric stacker truck fitted with mono or duplex-mast The EJC M10 electric pedestrian stacker (Image 02) is built to lift loads of up to 1,000 kg. Deliverable in heights of 1,540 mm and 1,900 mm, the mono-mast is ideally suited to occasional order picking as well as for stacking pallets. An advantage here consists of the low chassis height of the EJC M10 E, offering even short operators an ideal view of the fork tips. The truck’s compact design and short front end length of just 465 mm moreover guarantee a high degree of maneuverability. As the tiller grip is fitted with control buttons on both sides, the truck is easy to handle and can be steered with a minimum of force. A range of safety precautions like the low foot guard reduce the danger of injuries and ensure a high degree of safety. Likewise designed for payloads of up to 1,000 kg, the EJC M10 ZT electric stacker truck equipped with telescopic duplex-mast is available in four different heights – from 2,300 to 3,300 mm, making it additionally suitable for the intermittent stacking of pallets at high rack heights. “With its new series of vehicles Jungheinrich offers an attractively priced solution for occasional stacking and transport tasks of the type that routinely occur in small and medium-sized enterprises”, explains Torsten Koenig, Team Leader for Warehouse Product Sales & Price Management at Jungheinrich. “These battery powered trucks, which are easy to charge using a standard mains socket, provide the operator with a large number of ergonomic and performance-related advantages in comparison with hand pallet trucks.” Photographs: Jungheinrich www.jungheinrich.com About Jungheinrich Founded in 1953, the Jungheinrich group ranks among the world’s leading intralogistics service providers.
