Maximum performance Worldwide News Bosch Rexroth to acquire a 50 % stake in the Hytec Group Bosch Rexroth plans to acquire a 50 % stake in its sales partner Hytec Holdings (Pty) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tesuco Group. Hytec Holdings generated sales of almost Rand 1 bn rand (about € 63 m) in the 2013/2014 fiscal year and employs 675 employees across its operations. Bosch Rexroth will have the option to increase its shareholding over the next few years to 100 % of the Hytec Group. Power Team, a subsidiary company of Hytec which specializes in hydraulic maintenance tools and torque tightening equipment, is excluded from the deal and will remain a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tesuco Group. The company produces, among others, piston and bladder accumulators for industrial applications. The focuses are on the market segments of energy/ oil and gas, mining and fluid power in North and South America. The most important product are hydraulic accumulators for blowout preventers that prevent uncontrolled escape of drill flushing, crude oil or natural gas in raw material transport. Tobul is a family-owned company with sites in Bamberg, South Carolina, and Houston, Texas, as well as a sales office in Shanghai. It employs about 120 employees. SKF builds a new Global Technical Center in USA SKF is reinforcing its commitment in research and development on the North American continent: the company is investing in a new 12 100 m 2 research and development facility in the metropolis region of Chicago. The latest SKF facility of this kind is to employ approx. 80 engineers in the first four years. The “Global Technical Center Americas” (GTCA) expresses the strategy of SKF to place these centres close to important customers. By this, the company pursues the goal of focusing on market-specific product innovations with its five competence platforms (storage and storage units, seals, mechatronic components, lubrication systems and services). The GTCA will supplement the two recently opened facilities in China and India.
