Product News Sinochron motors ensure increased effectiveness in intralogistics The Sinochron motors by ABM Greiffenberger take into account the increasing demands for effective intralogistics solutions. The highly dynamic motors operate while saving energy and have excellent control features. In the field of intralogistics, more than two thirds of drives are operated in the partial load range. This means that the torque provided by the motor is required only briefly to fully start the load. Subsequently, the drives usually run at only 20 to 30 % of the nominal load. This is precisely the feature that makes the Sinochron drive stand out. The crucial element is a permanent-magnet synchronous motor, which has almost no rotor losses. The high efficiency of the drive, especially in the partial load range, is also due to the use of high-quality magnets made of neodymium-iron-boron, which prevent rotor losses. Additional features of ABM development include high power density and a related smaller construction volume compared to asynchronous motors. The structurally simple and therefore robust construction, as well as the elimination of the mechanical speed sensor and wiring, make the Sinochron motor reliable even under harsh ambient conditions, such as in refrigerated warehouses. www.abm-antriebe.com Performance expansion at servo terminals With the servo terminal EL7211, the EtherCAT I/O-system now additionally offers a complete servo amplifier with up to 4.5 ARMS output current that is integrated in the 24-mm terminal housing. The EtherCAT terminal is available with an integrated resolver interface or with the single-cable solution OCT. Specifically in connection with the new servo motors AM811x, this leads to a highly compact, high-performance and cost-efficient servo system. The servo motor EtherCAT terminal EL7211, with integrated resolver interface, offers high drive output in a very compact build for Beckhoff motors of the AM31xx and AM81xx series.
