1 New Innovation Center is first of its kind in Asia Pacific The logistics provider DHL launched its Asia Pacific Innovation Center (APIC) in Singapore, to offer a visionary view of the logistics world, and develop innovative solutions to meet evolving supply chain needs. The multi-million dollar facility is DHL’s first innovation center outside of Germany, and the first dedicated center for innovative logistics services in the Asia Pacific region. The center is located within the €104-million DHL Supply Chain Advanced Regional Center (ARC) building at Singapore’s Tampines LogisPark. www.dpdhl.com 3 2 Terex Port Solutions received order from Egypt Terex Port Solutions (TPS) received an order for six dieselelectric Terex rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTG) from Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Co. (ACCHCO), Egypt. The machines will be operated in the Alexandria Container Terminal and the El-Dekheila Container Terminal of the country’s main port, Port of Alexandria. When the cranes are commissioned in November 2016, they will join the more than 20 Terex RTG’s already in operation in Egypt. www.terexportsolutions.com 4 3 Shanghai SUS Environment orders Demag process cranes Terex Material Handling, Germany is to equip another refuse incineration plant in China with process cranes. The company received the order from Shanghai SUS Environment Co., Ltd. for three semi-automatic Demag process cranes for the refuse incineration plant in Yinzhou, a district of Ningbo. The cranes are to be used for storing materials, assembling the correct blend of fuel and for serving the furnace. www.demagcranes.com 4 Siemens expands handling system at Bangalore International Airport Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics (SPPAL) headquartered in Constance, Germany, has received an order to expand the baggage handling system in the arrival area of Bangalore International Airport in India. The company helps the airport operator to expand its capacities and further improve passenger convenience of international passengers.
